What's Happening @ Kwik Trip?

I've heard from a few people who want to know what's happening on Main St. next to Kwik Trip. So, here's the scoop. Kwik Trip is going to be building a new, larger store / gas station. You can view the detailed facade drawings by clicking here. The gas pumps will be near their current location, and the new store building will be build to the west on the vacant land (where two old buildings were recently razed). The facade shown above will face the gas pumps (and Summit Credit Union), and the right side of this building will be facing Main Street. Click here to read an article from the Waunakee Tribune which gives more detail on this project.

Welcome to Waunablog!

I consider it a great privilege to serve as your Village Administrator, and am pleased to have been in this position since October 2010. One important function of the Village Administrator position is to coordinate effective communications with you and other members of the public.

Blogging has quickly become a popular communication tool for many, which presents an opportunity to share more Village information with the public. My hope is that the "Waunablog" will be a way for me to share timely information with you about Village issues, community happenings, and important reminders. Who knows... from time to time I may throw in some insights into what I'm up to away from the office, which often has something to do with my family (which includes my wife, Tonya, and two children, Sydney & Sawyer).

In order to make this blog most effective, I would like your input on items you'd like me to blog about. If you have questions or curiosities about the Village, please let me know. If you have ever thought to yourself "why does the Village do that?", this is your chance to get the answers. Please contact me directly with your suggestions. My e-mail address is tschmidt@vil.waunakee.wi.us, or your may call my office at 608-850-8500.

I look forward to enjoying this blogging journey with all of you. Welcome to "Waunablog".
