Volunteers Needed for Imangination Celebration

The Village of Waunakee is seeking community volunteers to serve on the committee that will plan and produce its unique festival of creativity...the Imagination Celebration.

The next Imagination Celebration will take place Thursday June 18, 2015, as artists, exhibitors and performers share their creativity and unique ideas with our community. The upcoming event will be bigger and better than ever, building on the tremendous success of the past two Imagination Celebrations in 2012 and 2014.

The committee will plan a festive afternoon of exhibits, performances, demonstrations and activities for all ages, presented by Waunakee artists, organizations and businesses with a flair for the creative side.

If you are unable to join the committee but still want to help, there are multiple opportunities to assist with event promotion, participate as an event exhibitor, provide in-kind services for the event and/or provide financial sponsorship. If interested and willing to help as a committee member or in any other capacity, please contact any of the following:

Sign Up For Important Email Notifications from Waunakee Utilities

With last winter's dangerously low temperatures,Waunakee Utilities temporarily recommended running water around the clock to prevent freezing pipes. We were able to spread that message through all customer mailers and press releases. However, printing and sending messages to all our customers is time consuming, expensive and wastes natural resources. This year, we encourage all our customers to sign up for Waunakee Utilities email notifications. Signing up will help us get critical messages out faster as well as save time and money.

Unlike other email lists, we will only send you notifications when there is critical information to deliver and we will keep your email address private. For example, if we notice that water mains are starting to freeze again this winter, we will send out an email to all customers on the list notifying them to temporarily run their water.

To sign up for important email notification from Waunakee Utilities, please email waunakeeutilities@wppienergy.org

Election Day Bake Sale

The Senior Center is having a Great Big Bake Sale on Election Day! What a wonderful day for a Bake Sale. When you come to vote, please stop to shop at our bake sale. All proceeds benefit the Senior Center. This November election we hope to really out do ourselves. We hope to bring many voters to the building, voters that would love to buy "Grandma's pie or Grandpa's cookies"!

We are also asking for your help. We need your delicious donated baked goods to pull this off! Feel free to dig out those wonderful recipes and bake to your heart's content. Please know that we very much appreciate and welcome any donated bakes goods! Items must be dropped off at the Senior Center on Monday, November 3, between 8:00 AM and 7:00 PM.
