EZ-TAB is an easy to use self-service kiosk that will renew your Wisconsin license plate, dispense your vehicle’s registration and license plate sticker (tag/tab), all in real time with the WI DMV. EZ-TAB gives you everything you need instantly. EZ-TAB is paid for and provided by RTI at $0 cost to the DMV or the State of Wisconsin.

Wood Stove Cooking Workshop

Schumacher Farm Park will host a wood stove cooking workshop where participants prepare, cook and sit down to a hearty farm lunch. Participants will bake bread and make soup on the authentic wood stove at the park. The instructor is Steve Keip, a chef, wood stove expert and former board member of the Friends of Schumacher Farm Park.

Candlelight Hike in Castle Creek Conservancy

Save the date! Experience the magic of hiking on candle-lit trails in Castle Creek Conservancy. Participants will be able to explore at their own pace on this self-guided hike. After your hike sit by the fire and warm up with hot cocoa and marshmallows for roasting. Come out and join us! The hike will start at the Conservancy's entrance on Division Street. Get outside with the entire family and enjoy this enchanting event. Pre-registration is not required. Be sure to dress for the weather. Children ages 5-10 must be accompanied by an adult. The program will not occur if temperatures are below 5° F.

Waunakee Community Cares Coalition Community Book Study

Everyone is invited to a weekly study on the book Clean by David Sheff to begin on February 9. The study will last 17 weeks (attendance to all sessions is not necessary). This book offers insight on overcoming addiction and ending America's greatest tragedy. The group will read sections of the book weekly and make connections that hopefully can help those within the community understand addiction and understand how to help with the epidemic. Copies of the book will be offered for free and childcare will be provided if needed. Please plan on joining this group. Waunablog Listening Session

Please join us for a Neighborhood Listening Session at the Waunakee Neighborhood Connection in the main gathering room, following the Waunakee Neighborhood Connection’s Volunteer Fair. This is the first listening session of 2017. They are held several times throughout the year at different locations throughout the Village.

The purpose of the listening session is to give Village residents the opportunity to meet informally with Todd Schmidt, Village Administrator, and Chris Zellner, Village Board President to discuss issues and ask questions. Topics of discussion can cover a variety of issues including Waunakee’s growth, improvements, conditions of the neighborhood, traffic, public safety issues, or any other Village-related issues.

We are eager to hear from you and your neighbors in this comfortable and informal setting. If you are unable to attend but have something you would like to discuss with us, please contact Administrator Schmidt at 850-5227 or tschmidt@waunakee.com

The Waunakee Police Department is is moving their newsletter access to the Village of Waunakee website! The change allows the police department to keep pace with the growing number of community members who wish to receive their monthly newsletter. If you wish to continue receiving the newsletter, you will need to follow the link below which sends you to the "Notify Me" section of the Village website. Once you have reached that page, you simply add your email address and select the email option next to the Waunakee Police Department section. Should you no longer wish to receive the newsletter once you have signed up, there are directions on the same page on how to unsubscribe. While they are in transition over the next few months, they will continue to send out the newsletter from their newsletter@waunakeepd.org email address and provided access through the Village of Waunakee website. Starting in May of 2017 the Waunakee Police Department will only send the newsletter out from the website sign up list. http://www.vil.waunakee.wi.us/list.aspx.
