Upcoming Community Conversations to Explore the Next BIG IDEA to Embrace Waunakee’s Creativity
Did you and your family have fun at past Imagination Celebration events? Did you pick out a favorite Train on Main sculpture at Wauktoberfest? Have you enjoyed getting messy at the Chalk Walk?
These and many other creative projects and events are products of Waunakee’s Creative Economy Initiative, the Village’s effort to identify existing sources of creativity and innovation and grow them into a vibrant sector of our community.
Now a community task force has partnered with Village Administrator Todd Schmidt, Creative Intern Sarah Bluvas, and the Bolz Center for Arts Administration at the University of Wisconsin. Together they are thinking about what’s next for Waunakee’s creative side, and we want to hear from you about this project.
Please join us at an upcoming Community-Wide Conversation at the Village Center. During these gatherings, we will share our ideas and gather your feedback, which will inform a plan to continue developing Waunakee’s creative economy.
Save these dates on your calendar:
Sunday, February 18, 5-7 pm
Monday, February 26, 6:30-8:30 pm
Both conversations will take place in the lower level at the Village Center, 333 S. Madison Street.
