WisconsinEye Launches Campaign 2012 Voter Guide

Today, WisconsinEye launches the comprehensive Campaign 2012 Voter Guide on its website, wiseye.org. WisconsinEye is the nonprofit, nonpartisan, independently-funded public affairs network devoted to covering Wisconsin’s state government since 2007.

The new Campaign 2012 Voter Guide features in-depth information on 125 races in Wisconsin: Presidential, U.S. Senate, 8 Congressional Districts, 16 State Senate and 99 State Assembly.

WisEye’s Campaign 2012 Voter Guide is a comprehensive source of interviews and information on candidates in the August 14th primary election and November 6th general election.

All primary candidates were invited to participate in a 5-minute interview with WisconsinEye's senior producer and veteran journalist, Steve Walters, to inform voters about the candidates’ backgrounds and which issues they hope to bring to the floor of the state Senate and Assembly or Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.

WisEye will add programs and information to the Campaign 2012 Voter Guide throughout the coming months. Immediately following the primary, WisEye will invite all general election candidates to participate in an in-depth interview. The network also will provide full coverage of forums, debates and candidate events.

On the easy-to-use Campaign 2012 website, you’ll find candidate photos, district maps, links to WisEye interviews conducted by Steve Walters, along with exclusive full coverage of campaign events, forums, and debates.  Also listed are links to the candidates’ social media sites and their campaign websites - offering valuable information to our state’s voters in one useful location.

This convenient and informative website complements WisconsinEye’s extensive Campaign 2012 coverage of political events and candidate interviews leading up to the November election. Television coverage is available on the WisconsinEye cable channels, Charter 995 and Time Warner Cable 363, as well as on-demand at wiseye.org.
