Returning Your Absentee Ballot.

Have an absentee ballot you need to return for today’s election? You have two options to return your absentee ballot: 1) the mailbox outside of the Village Center (see picture) or 2) in the silver drop box outside of Village Hall. Ballots need to be received by 8 pm today to be counted in this election. Both boxes will be checked regularly. All absentee return envelops must contain the signature and address of a witness under section 4 "Certification of Witness". Ballots not containing a witness signature will not be counted for the election. If a ballot is returned without a witness signature, the Clerk’s office will make an attempt to contact the voter to correct the error.

Today is Election Day!

Polls are now open until 8 pm at the Village Center (333 S. Madison Street). Voters choosing to vote in-person, please read the following information:

  • Please consider wearing a mask to the polls.
  • If you are experiencing any symptoms related to COVID-19, please choose to curbside vote. See the notice on the doors of the Village Center for more information.
  • Upon entering and leaving the poll place, you will be asked to either sanitize or wash your hands (we will be providing hand sanitizer).
  • Remember to practice social distancing while in the polling place. We will have tape on the floor to assist with maintaining 6 feet in lines.
  • We ask that you promptly leave the polling place when you are finished voting.
  • We ask that you refrain from bringing your children with you to the polling place.
  • Consider voting during off-peak times. Typical peak times for voting are when the polls open at 7 am and in the evening from 4 pm to 8 pm.
