September is Preparedness Month

Disasters don't plan ahead, but you can.

Developing a family emergency plan is important, knowing where to go during an emergency and how to communicate with loved ones should a crisis develop.

An emergency plan includes where to take shelter, contact list both on paper and electronic and alternative methods of communications in case phone service is not available.

Each week this September, ReadyWisconsin will highlight easy ways to prepare for emergency situations.

Calling All of Waunakee!

Friday, August 18, 2017
Between Madison Street and Bacon Street
9:00 AM - 11:00 AM

The Village of Waunakee and The Waunakee Area Chamber of Commerce have teamed up to create a Waunakee promo video. The goal of the video is to promote community pride and bring positive promotion to Waunakee’s business community. We hope to use the video in community marketing efforts in order to attract visitors to Waunakee, and even inspire people to live and bring business here.

There is a special opportunity as part of this video for all of Waunakee to participate! We will be closing down Main Street between Madison Street and Bacon Street (in the area of Summit Credit Union, Madison & Main Apartments, and Yo!). Essentially we’ll have a party on Main Street, with the help of a singer/songwriter who we’ve hired to make this video extra special. We want people to have fun, dance and show off the joy we have in living and/or working in Waunakee.

All are welcome–young and old alike. Bring pets if you’d like and be sure to wear your Waunakee attire!
