Village Hall and the Village Center Closed July 4, 2013

Village Hall and the Village Center will be closed on Thursday, July 4, 2013 due to the July 4th Holiday. Normal summer business hours will resume on Friday, July 5, 2013.

Residents normally serviced on Thursday, July 4, 2013 will be serviced one day later than their normal pickup day due the July 4th Holiday. Please have carts out by 7:00 a.m. for collection. Please contact Pellitteri at (608) 257-4285 if you have any questions.

Friends of the Library Garden Art Silent Auction

Find one-of-a-kind structures that are useful as well as decorative at Friends of the Library's Garden Art Silent Auction. Items on display at the library through June 27, when they'll be moved to the garden tour locations, then returned to the library for the end of the auction at 3:00 p.m., Monday, July 1.

We are looking for dedicated, detailed-oriented individuals to serve as poll workers for the upcoming 2014 election year. This is a two-year commitment with at least four elections in 2014. Please fill out the attached application, contact the Clerk’s Department at 608-850-2827 or stop in at Village Hall. There will be informational/training classes in the future.

Tormach Progress Update



As you'll see in the pictures above, progress is coming along nicely on Tormach's new 19,000 square foot headquarter facility in Waunakee.  The new facility represents a major expansion in training and R&D space, as well as office space to accommodate 42 staff members.

Tormach, a manufacturer that specializes in Personal CNC mills and accessories, was founded in 2002 by Greg Jackson and Ed Korn.  Tormach is currently operating out of leased space in the Waunakee Business Park.

The Village of Waunakee is proud to be the home of Tormach, and we look forward to the exciting opportunities associated with the new facility.

Waunasip Chocolate Milk Sipping Challenge

Great fun was had by all at the Waunakee Area Chamber of Commerce and Village of Waunakee co-sponsored Waunasip Chocolate Milk Sipping Challenge! This year's Dane County's 35th Annual Breakfast on the Farm was hosted by Rich and Shirley Maier and Jerry and Renee Maier/White Gold Dairy.

Peaceful Valley Parkway Update




Work continues on the construction of Peaceful Valley Parkway, which will connect Southbridge to CTH Q.  The project has been slowed by weather.  The grading of the project is near complete and the next steps will be installing the necessary utilities to serve the subdivision.  Work is scheduled to be completed by the end of July, weather permitting.

Workshops on Wellness - Younger Tomorrow: Exercise Made Fun

The Waunakee Village Center and the Waunakee-Westport Lions Club are pleased to offer Workshops on Wellness. The WOW program consists of monthly presentations to help improve healthy living. The presentations will be based on a wide variety of topics and each presenter will share information and answer your questions. The WOW program will be offered at 7:00 PM on the second Thursday of every month at the Village Center.
