The Waunakee Police, Fire, and EMS are pleased to announce the 2017 Waunakee Emergency Services Citizen’s Academy program starting September 6, 2017. Participants will meet on Wednesday evenings 6:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. for nine consecutive weeks. The Citizen’s Academy is a “hands on” program. The goal of the program is to give participants a better understanding of Police, Fire, and EMS duties and responsibilities. During simulations, participants will be able to assume the role of the Police Officer, Firefighter, and Emergency Medical Technician. The class is limited to 14 participants. Requirements: You must be at least 18 years of age.
Applications Due Date: August 25, 2017

We are proud to bring a new event to the Waunakee Community this August. The Waunakee Area Kids Expo (WAKE) will be held at the Waunakee Intermediate School on August 23rd from 4:00 – 7:00 pm and we hope that you will be a part of this exciting event. The expo is organized by the Girl Scouts of Wisconsin – Badgerland Council, Village of Waunakee and the Waunakee Chamber of Commerce along with assistance from the Waunakee School District.
The purpose of WAKE is to offer “one-stop” shopping for families and community members to learn about and/or sign up for the many youth opportunities offered in Waunakee. This includes clubs, sports, recreational activities, daycares/preschools, and the various other groups that provide services for youth in our community.
There is no charge for participation in the fair but we do request that you donate a door prize valued at a minimum of $10. The event will be held in the gymnasium at the Waunakee Intermediate School.
