Compost Sites To Open April 1, 2012

Local composting sites will open on April 1, 2012. Yard waste refers to all non-woody vegetation, including grass clippings, leaves and other yard waste. For local composting locations please click here.

Spring Leaf Collection

Spring leaf collection will begin on Monday, March 26 and end on Thursday, April 5, 2012 weather permitting. Please remember to keep the leaves and brush separate from each other. Leaves must be on the terrace in front of your house, not in the road. If you have questions, please contact the Public Works Garage at 849-5892.

Imagination Celebration: Registration

Are you an artist, performer, business owner or hobbyist who has something "creative" to share with the community?  If so, the Waunakee Imagination Celebration on June 21, 2012 is looking for participants to showcase what they have.  The Imagination Celebration will be held at the Waunakee Community High School.  PARTICIPATION IS FREE

Yahara Lakes Advisory Group (YLAG2)

The Yahara Lakes Advisory Group will be holding a Public Forum to receive comments on draft recommendations for the Yahara Lakes system discussing flooding along the Yahara River Chain.

This event is free to the public and will be held on Wednesday, March 28, in the Exposition Hall at the Alliant Energy Center.

Blasting near Easy Street

The Village has received numerous calls regarding quarry work and blasting that has occurred the last couple of days in the Easy Street, Schumacher Road area.   If you have questions or concerns regarding this project please contact Dan Everson, from Dane County Planning and Development at 266-4266.
