Joint Plan Commission Tuesday, May 12, 2015 @ 6:00 PM at 5387 Mary Lake Road (Westport Hall)

Important Dates to Remember for 2015 Property Assessments

Be sure to mark your calendar if you want to discuss your property assessment with the Village Assessor. Open Book, a more casual, one-on-one opportunity to speak with the Assessor, is scheduled for June 4, 2015, from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Board of Review, a formal, quasi-judicial hearing to consider an objection to your property assessment, is scheduled for June 24, 2015, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

The Waunakee Area Chamber of Commerce will host the 1st Annual SpringFest with live music, food and kids activities. Enjoy live music from the Waunakee Community Band 2:30 PM-3:30 PM, followed by headline band, The Red Hot Horn Dawgs 4:00 PM-8:00 PM. Festival food featuring Blowin' Smoke BBQ, Papa Murphy's Pizza, and Country Kettle Corn, cheese curds, and funnel cake. Activities include Mother's Day crafts 3:00 PM-6:00 PM, bouncy house, pet a puppy adoption event by Fetch WI 2:00 PM-5:00 PM. Look for SpringFest shopping specials at local businesses. Fun for the whole family!

Waunakee Residential Spring Clean-Up!

As you are cleaning out those closets and basements preparing for the Waunakee garage sales, remember the Village of Waunakee also has trash tags available year round if you have more trash than will fit in your trash container. You may purchase trash tags at the Village Hall, 500 W. Main Street, in sheets of 5 for $15.00. Many items will be picked up during the Residential Spring Clean-Up as listed in the link below.

You’ll want to take advantage of this opportunity in advance of the sale so you can finish your spring cleaning, move out the clutter, and be ready for summer!

Stroll through the history of jazz with saxophonist Hanah Jon Taylor and poet Fabu, as they intertwine jazz poetry with musical numbers performed by Taylor. Commentary by UW - Madison School of Library and Information Studies Professor Ethelene Whitmore.
