Schumacher Farm Seeking Volunteers

Schumacher Farm Park is hosting their Halloween at the Farm event on October 28th and are in need of several volunteers. We have many areas to choose from and many different tasks to get this event going. New spooks and ghouls have been added this year so you are sure to have a great time during this event!

Coming Soon: Schumacher Barn Gets and Updated Look

Schumacher Farm is looking for volunteers who can help paint the siding boards that will be the new fresh face of Schumacher Barn. Painting will take place between the hours of 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM weekdays. If you are willing to help please contact the farm office at (608)849-4559.

Raking Leaves into Streets

In the interests of public safety, health and general welfare, it shall be unlawful to rake or place fallen leaves or grass clippings onto the pavements or into the gutter of any public street.  No person shall permit grass clippings from mower swaths to remain upon sidewalks or abutting property owned or occupied by such persons.

The Waunakee Area Chamber of Commerce and the Village of Waunakee invite you to celebrate fall in the South Century Avenue Business District at BOO BASH!

• 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM  Trick or Treat along the South Century Avenue Business District
• 4:00 PM Costume Parade on the Main Stage
• 4:15 PM Century Avenue Dedication & Ribbon Cutting

The Waunakee Food Pantry will be collecting "Candy for Cans", there will be a photo booth, drawings, games, activities, and more!

The Waunakee Neighborhood Connection will be hosting their laundry soap and diaper drive.

Engagement through Polco

The Village of Waunakee is excited to announce the launch of Polco, an innovative citizen survey tool where residents can answer questions posted by the Village. This new technology will allow Village staff to post general citizen satisfaction questions, identify trends over time, and consider service changes desired. The Village of Waunakee values community input and is committed to enhancing communication channels with everyone in the community. The first batch of questions have been released and will be followed by a new batch of questions monthly, with each batch being re-asked once a year.

Residents can become active users by visiting https://polco.us/ to create an account. Polco’s platform is available via web, mobile, email, and any place Polco e-ballots are found online. Connecting to the Polco system will be will be very easy, via links from the Village’s social media outlets, website, and Waunablog. To connect to Polco through the Village website please visit www.waunakee.com

Polco is committed to a strict privacy policy and participants are able to respond to all questions anonymously. Participant detailed data and votes are never shared with the Village or any other party.
