Police National Night Out

The Waunakee Police Department will host National Night Out festivities at the Village Park in Waunakee from 5-7 pm on August 10, 2011. Sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch and the Waunakee Police Department, National Night Out will involve over 1,000 communities from all 50 states. There will be activities for kids, prizes, free brats and hot dogs and numerous displays by various law enforcement agencies.

It's Finally Here!!!

WaunaFest is finally here!! Please visit http://www.waunafest.org/ for the schedule of events and activities being offered this weekend, Thursday-Sunday, at Centennial Park. Have a fun and safe festival, it's where you'll wauna be!

Access Hint for Food Pantry and St. Andrews

Anyone wishing to access the Waunakee Food Pantry or the St. Andrews Church located on the south side of Waunakee on Emerald Grove Lane should enter from the north / west on Woodland Drive.

EMS Ice Cream Social

Waunakee EMS will host its annual ice cream social fundraiser from 4-8 pm August 9 at the EMS building, 201 North Klein Drive. The menu includes ice cream sundaes, cones, root beer floats and desserts. Waunakee residents also donate desserts that are served at this event. To donate, deliver them to the EMS building no later than 2 pm that Tuesday. There will be entertainment and displays as well. Anyone with questions can call the EMS office weekdays at 849-7522.

Community Band Concert

The Waunakee Community Band's final concert of the summer season will be held in the High School Performing Arts Center at 7:00 pm on Thursday, July 28. The theme of the evening will be "Our Country, Our Heritage." Music from many of the countries that settled in Wisconsin and Waunakee will be presented. Audience members are encouraged to wear clothing, hats or accessories that reflect their own personal ancestry. Special guests of the band will be present wearing costumes that will represent the origins of the musical selections. This is also the annual "Pie and Ice Cream Night" with serving from 6:15 to 6:45, during intermission and after the concert.
