Just a friendly reminder that when walking your pets in the Village of Waunakee, they must be leashed, controlled and all pet waste must be disposed of. Pets in parks are allowed on the sidewalks, trails and pathways, but may not be unleashed and running at large.
Schumacher Farm Park
Spring Leaf collection will begin on April 6 and end on April 16, weather permitting. Please remember to keep the brush and leaves separate from each other. Leaves must be on the terrace in front of your house, not in the road. If you would like to haul your own leaves and brush, you can take them out to the compost site on County Trunk Highway Q south of the Village, just past County Trunk Highway K. 
The
April 7, 2015 Spring Election is fast approaching! If you need to register to
vote because you are new to Waunakee, or you have moved or changed your name
since the last time you voted, consider coming to the Clerk’s Office at Village
Hall, 500 W. Main Street, before the election to take care of updating your
registration information. It could save you time on Election Day by taking care
of this now. 
Sports Illustrated will feature Wisconsin Badgers big man Frank Kaminsky as the face of its March Madness cover. The cover shows Frank the Tank, standing in front of our very own American Legion's tank located at 417 E. Main Street. Wisconsin’s do-it-all forward, senior Frank Kaminsky, is Sports lllustrated’s Player of the Year, after leading the Badgers to a 31-3 record and the Big Ten’s regular season and tournament titles.

Best of the 'Burbs is a new editorial project highlighting the best attractions, traditions and businesses in the Madison-area Dane County suburbs. The voting period will be through the end of March. Participants are allowed to submit one vote per day for the entire voting period. Results will be featured in the July 2015 issue of Madison Magazine.
