Barns on Main Proposals Due March 14

The Village of Waunakee in partnership with Endres Manufacturing and the Chamber of Commerce, is happy to announce the second annual Waunakee Public Art Project. Last year's project, Goats on Main, was successful in developing a creative and innovative approach to the identity of Waunakee. The Village and its partners would like to build on this project and see it taken even further.

This year's project, Barns on Main, will coincide with the capital campaign being run by Schumacher Farm to complete renovations on their historic barn property. Endres Manufacturing will again donate steel cutouts, this time in the shape of a barn with a silo, as well as $100 stipends to each artist. The Chamber has also decided to generously donate an additional $100 stipend, which means each artist will receive $200 to complete this project. In addition, this year we are able to select 15 artists instead of 10 to complete a public art piece, and artists will have twice as long to work on their piece compared to last year.

Those interested in applying must currently live/work within the school district limits of Waunakee, or be a graduate of the Waunakee Community School District. Full proposals are due by March 14, 2016.
