12:00 Noon - 2:00 PM
Join Master Gardener, Gae Bergmann, as she talks about the life of a Monarch butterfly and how she has raised over 500 of these beautiful butterflies. She has planted four varieties of milkweed plus a variety of flowers to nourish them, which has resulted in her homestead being certified as a "Monarch Waystation".
Attendees will learn why it is necessary to plant milkweed and how to make their property more inviting to butterflies. Environmental Educator, Alex Singer, will take the group on a nature walk through our restored prairie to point out butterfly attracting plants and the Monarchs visiting us now. $10 for non-members or $5 for non-members.
