Please join Village President Chris Zellner for a Neighborhood Listening Session via Zoom Webinar from 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM on Wednesday, July 8, 2020. Listening sessions are held several times throughout the year. Anyone is welcome to attend.
The purpose of the listening session is to give Village residents the opportunity to meet informally with Village President Chris Zellner and members of the Village’s management team to discuss issues and ask questions. Topics of discussion can cover a variety of issues including Waunakee’s growth, improvements and current projects, conditions of the neighborhood, traffic, public safety issues, or any other Village-related issues.
We are eager to hear from you and your neighbors in this virtual setting. There are two ways to participate:
• PREFERRED METHOD: Participate on-line in Zoom webinar by using this link to join: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/82173407475. A computer (with audio/microphone), tablet, or smart phone will allow participation.
• Call (312) 626-6799, and enter Webinar ID: 821 7340 7475. Those requiring toll-free options are asked to contact Village Hall for details prior to the meeting at administrator@waunakee.com or (608)850-2182.

August Absentee Ballot Update
Late last week the Village completed sending out absentee ballots for the August Partisan Primary to all voters who requested an absentee ballot for the calendar year. If you received a ballot in the mail, you requested and currently have an active absentee request on file with the Village of Waunakee. Many voters requested calendar year absentee ballots during the April Election cycle.
To view your absentee request, please visit www.myvote.wi.gov. After searching for your name, under the “My Absentee Status” you be able to track your absentee ballot status, it will look like this:

ATTENTION - ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE!
Woodland Drive will be closed in the next few weeks for road repairs and resurfacing beginning early next week. The two separate road closures are outlined as follows:
Road Closure #1 - South Portion
Woodland Drive will be closed from Mill Road to Tierney Drive beginning on Monday, June 22, 2020 at approximately 8:00 a.m. The road will be closed to all vehicle traffic during the project, and will remain closed until the repairs have been completed in this southern section of Woodland Drive. We anticipate that the repairs and resurfacing in this section of Woodland Drive will be completed in approximately 4 working days, weather permitting. We are hoping to have this section of Woodland Drive open to traffic by the end of the day on Thursday, June 25, 2020. Access for emergency vehicles and residents within this section of Woodland Drive will be to the north.

Woodland Drive will be closed from Manchester Crossing to Mill Road beginning on Friday, June 26, 2020 at approximately 8:00 a.m. The road will be closed to all vehicle traffic during the project, and will remain closed until the repairs have been completed in this northern section of Woodland Drive. We anticipate that the repairs and resurfacing in this section of Woodland Drive will be completed in approximately 4 working days, weather permitting. We are hoping to have this section of Woodland Drive open to traffic by the end of the day on Wednesday, July 1, 2020. Access for emergency vehicles and residents within this section of Woodland Drive will be to the north.
We ask that you please plan your travel accordingly.

Lane Closure Notice
The eastbound travel lane on Woodland Drive from Century Avenue to Endres Road will be closed for construction activities from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and starting on Monday, June 8, and again on Wednesday, June 10, weather permitting.

Village of Waunakee Recycling Usage & Frequency Survey
The Village's contract for residential refuse and recycling collection is up this year. One option that may be considered is moving from every-other-week recycling to every week. Please take a minute to answer this very brief survey to help us understand community satisfaction and needs.
The Village of Waunakee is seeking public input on current ideas, initiatives, and issues facing the Village using Polco, a Wisconsin-based civic participation technology platform. Polco helps Waunakee officials present questions and background information to citizens and generate organized input to inform local policy decisions.
