Absentee Ballot Update

This week Village Staff and a group of Election Inspectors processed and mailed out over 4,500 absentee ballots to Waunakee voters who had an active absentee ballot on file! Thank you to the Election Inspectors and staff for working hard to get the ballots out in a timely and efficient manner! Over the next week, absentee ballots will start to arrive at the homes of those who had a request on file by September 16, 2020. As a reminder, if you receive an absentee ballot in the mail from the Village, the return envelope has the correct amount of postage included on it for your ballot to be successfully returned to the Village via the US Postal Service. Worried about returning your ballot in the mail? No problem, feel free to drop off your completed absentee ballot in the mailbox located outside of Village Hall (500 W Main Street). This mailbox will be checked regularly.

Do you still need to request an absentee ballot for November? The deadline to request an absentee ballot is 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 29, 2020. Moving forward, Village Staff will continue to process new requests for absentee ballots as they are received. Please visit www.myvote.wi.gov to request an absentee ballot.
