Clean Sweep Opens New Facility

On May 1, 2013, Clean Sweep will be opening a new year round facility located at 7102 US Highway 12 in Madison. Clean Sweep is a place to bring hazardous household materials such as Oil-Based Paints and Paint-Related Products, Pesticides & Poisons, Household Products Containing Organic Solvents, Ignitables, and Aerosols, and Rechargeable Batteries. By providing the public with an opportunity to safely dispose of such hazardous products, Clean Sweep keeps these products out of landfills and lowers the environmental risks associated with such improper disposal. The payoff is a cleaner, healthier environment. Hours of operation are as follows:

Tuesday - Friday: 7:00 AM - 2:45 PM
Saturday: 8:00 AM - 10:45 AM
Closed Sundays, Mondays and Holidays

Waunakee's Lone Eagle Initiative is holding its next meeting next Thursday, May 2nd, from 4:00 - 6:00 at Lucky's.  In addition to providing another opportunity for home office professionals to network and socialize with one another, we’re planning a short presentation by Ellen Schaaf, Executive Director of the Waunakee Area Chamber of Commerce, about the services that our local chamber can offer to our community of home office professionals.

This is the 39th year of recognizing the efforts of local citizens to make Waunakee a wonderful community in which to live. All community members are invited and we extend a special invitation to all former winners to attend and be recognized for your past contributions. Cocktails and socializing will begin at 5:30 PM, dinner at 6:30 PM and the honors program will follow. Please join the civic and service clubs of your community in honoring these deserving individuals who so freely give of their time and talents to make the Waunakee area a great place to live and work.
