Waunakee Police would like to remind everyone to submit your applications for the emergency Services Academy. There are only a few weeks left before the deadline. This is a great opportunity to experience firsthand what the emergency services do in the Village of Waunakee. This is once in a lifetime hands on experience. Some of the classes involve climbing fire truck ladders, shooting the fire hose, cutting cars open, driving squad cars, shooting simulated handguns, defense and arrest tactics (including Taser), and demonstrations of all EMS equipment. This is a great program put on by all of the emergency service departments.

The Waunakee Emergency Services Academy will provide community members
with an inside look at the Emergency Services Waunakee provides. During
the 9 week academy, students will be introduced to emergency service
operations and participate in many of the same training sessions
officers go through every year.
